Outta nowhere, I know lol. But every time XLII is discussed, I always see a bunch of talk about how we got lucky that Asante missed the pick right before the helmet catch. And maybe it’s just cuz I’m a Giants fan, maybe there’s a little bias there but like…ain’t no fuckin way people legitimately think that was a gimme right? People saying he shoulda caught it because it ‘hit him in both his hands’ when that ball barely glanced his fingertips. Reminds me of all the times I’ve seen a receiver catch flack for not catching a ball that ‘hit him in the hands’ and I’d look and see a pass that brushed by their fingernails. Like, sure I guess technically it hit them in both hands, but you’d literally have to be goddamn spiderman to make that catch lol

I dunno, it’s just a stance that’s always baffled me.
