Packer fan here, I know you guys don’t hold much love for us in your hearts (I understand), but I just wanted to say you guys deserve this success more than any other fans in the league.

I have had many interactions with NFC North fans at games, and I can say without fail that Lions fans are by far the classiest fans in the north, Packer fans included. I was at this years Lions/Packers game in Lambeau, and while we were awful the group of Lions fans in front of us honestly made the game enjoyable.

There was plenty of healthy heckling back and forth, but never past that and after a belligerent Packer fan threw their beer down the stands, the Lions fans were the first ones to look for napkins/towels to get the beer off my coat/jersey.

You guys have put up with more heartbreak than most, survived Matt Millen, Matt Patricia, watched Stafford win a ring with his new team, and a million infuriating moments against the Packers which I’m sure our fans rub in your face as often as they can. This is your payoff. You guys deserve this success, this team, and should be getting more attention.

Packers are due for some bad years, and I’m okay with that. We have been spoiled as fans and I think it’s time someone else had a turn & Dan Campbell has made me a believer that it’s you guys.

I know a lot of you probably are afraid to buy in to the hype, but fuck that - you guys are legit, your team has the grit to fight back in games they fall behind where old Lions teams would crumple, and the talent and determination to blow out opponents who don’t give you the respect you deserve. Long story short, be a fucking homer, drink the koolaid, enjoy this season & tell yourself this is what Lions football looks like now, because from where I sit the old Lions are dead and a new pack has emerged.
