Bouncing off of a recent thread that lists a lot of useless weapons. How about some weapons that genuinely made you feel excessively more powerful?
Far Cry 3 “shredder”
Sr-25 in tarkov
Johnny Silverhand’s Malorian in Cyberpunk, shit’s so fucking cool.
The legendary twin blades you get from the papyrus in Ac Origins
Hellwalker in Borderlands 3. You probably need a proper build for it but whenever I got it, I always shredded all enemies. Then I outleveled it. And so, when I got access to farming it, I did.
The plasma coil in Borderlands 3. I haven’t found a vault hunter or build that this doesn’t shred with.
Bee shield and double penetrating unkempt harold in borderlands 2, literally one shots everything, it is insane
T2 missiles in Eve online
Aurenes weight in guild wars 2
Shiny, oh so shiny
Nothing off the top of my head but thinking about the Best pistol in Fable 2. Doing the shooting challenge on old gen sticks when aiming was so janky was a nightmare, but the pistol you got was sick.
The Phenmor in Warframe. It’s quite a farm to get, from making it to the Zariman to farming the Pinions and Standing needed, to levelling it and developing its Incarnon abilities… but by Arceus does this thing shred.
I remember grinding for a good Maliwan Hellfire in Borderlands 1. And god it was satisfying finding a dark orange one at max level with a high rate of fire.
Thunder fury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker
Baldurans giantslayer BG3
Eternity from GW2 back when it first came out. Always thought how acquiring it made you play all aspects of the game and took really long was a cool feat to accomplish. And then when you have it, EVERYONE knew it.
Now days you can just buy it and everyone has crazy effects so you don’t really stand out. But back in the early days it was awesome.
