Dude has been balling at pretty much MVP level recently and yet somehow its always others that gets the recognision.

Sabonis has played really well? Yeah? I guess so…hey but what about Keegan? Seen what our MVP Fox did tonight, wow! Kvon was huge for us tonight. Sabonis dropped 25 pts triple double? thats nice and all but what about those free throws??? Gotta hit those my man!

And I am not even sure why it is like that. Is it his lack of Charisma? I have been his fan for long time and even I am not watching his interviews because he is giving very very generic politically correct answers pretty much 100% cases. Is it because he is not American? (well he was born here but he is playing for another national team). I feel like he is decent flashy (has some nice dunks, fancy assists, hustles) so I dont think its that.

God forbid we lose…then comments start rolling in how we never advancing further in playoffs with Sabonis as out center and similar.

I agree he may be underrated but to this extent you’re making it out to be.

The reason you see everybody always complimenting other players is because they’re taking leaps and improving their game every time they step on the court, whereas sabonis is just playing his same game he does every night. Is that a knock on Sabonis? Not at all. He’s literally in the top 10 for MVP talk right now. We all know what he brings to the table, you just see other players getting love because they’re not as good as him (respectively) and they’re making leaps/improvements in their game which is helping us beat teams game after game.

Agreed. We also have a top 5 MVP candidate as well. Domas just doing Domas things. Maybe he doesn’t get the credit because Fox is the one who is getting the ball with the game on the line. Make no mistake, Fox didn’t become The M.A.N. until Domas joined the team (of course we now have K-von, Murray, and Malik too)

You’re confusing r/kings for r/nba. Fox gets attention because he’s better and playing like an MVP, Keegan’s defensive improvement is HUGE.

Fox is amazing, but he isn’t better than Sabonis. Saying that he’s better like that’s a common known fact is the kind of disrespect OP was talking about.

Stop the non American card when literally it has been international players who have been winning the award for the last 5 years. If you compare Domas’ production, Jokic and Embiid and even Luka have been doing that consistently for multiple seasons now that to break through the mold and be in the conversation he has to make a huge jump like his 3 pt shooting maybe. 4 of the top 5 best players right now are foreigners so stop portraying Domas like he is ignored. He is not, he is just doing the things that others have already been doing a lot these days. Heck even Sengun is starting to be dishing triple doubles every game.

He has been so aggressive since that Portland game. And I don’t care what people say but that game meant a lot. I could just sense if they didn’t get the W their vibes could’ve gotten worse. Doesn’t matter if the Blazers are a weaker team it’s the NBA these are top notch players. Since Domas has turned himself into a dangerous man. The timely shooting has got me 🤯 if he keeps doing that he’s gonna break through his ceiling where experts have him.

I feel like you’re criminally underrating Huerter’s contributions last night.

We jest. Sabonis is garnering MVP level appreciation around here on a daily level. Anyone saying he doesn’t have charisma, and I mean anyone saying he doesn’t have charisma, can get dickslapped and choke on a salmon. Sabonis is sometimes understated by those who know because he has normalized excellence. He does it every day. Remember the last time he got a triple double? Sure, it was yesterday. When’s the next time? I dunno, probably today. I was listening to the Mavs broadcast for like a second yesterday before I realized I could switch to the Kings broadcast (god, what a magical moment when I realized that). The more annoying of the two guys asked “I wonder who holds the record of almost having a triple double, but he’s like one off?” He was insinuating it was Luka, but I knew the real answer. It’s the guy who’s gotten a double-double 88% of his games in Sacramento. If they kept stats on giving up a bucket because you’re bitching about a call, then Luka would be there.

Domas normalizes excellence and we take him for granted, but we appreciate him.

    Anyways, here’s a salmon.

My Saboner is strong for Sabonis but his struggles from the line will be a issue if he does not fix it. Otherwise the good teams will be applying the Hack-a-Shaq technique when playing us.

Even with his current ft%, Sabonis shooting free throws would rank as best offence in nba history (as in 126.5 points per 100 possesions), 0 chance it becomnes a strategy against us. Wish it was higher but once again you are just proving my point tbh
