The reason Skyrim became such a huge success with modding is because you put out a stable game version and then fucked off.
Modders no longer had to worry about updating mods after every patch. People could do a heavy modded play through with having their game break because a patch got released.
We don’t need 5 years of updates, It is the game that needs mods the most.
Spoken like someone who either didn’t actually pay any attention or wasn’t actually playing games when Skyrim launched. The game was a mess at launch and some would even argue it maybe still is now.
