Hello everyone.
I have a 2.5’’ internal Toshiba 500GB HDD, that I pulled from my parents’ old laptop when I upgraded it, that I’ve been using as an external HDD to store some things from time to time.
Thing is, I have this problem, it kind of disconnects after 5 or 6 minutes, every time. If I’m copying something to it, the process hangs and throws an I/O operation error, and if I navigate to the drive with the File Explorer, it just hangs loading. If I put my hand on it, I can feel it spinning. If I unplug it, then plug it again, everything is back to normal and I can keep doing things with the drive…until 5 or 6 minutes later again the same issues.
Checked it with HD Sentinel and CrystalDiskInfo and everything shows 100% health.
Any ideas as to what may be happening?
Thanks!
