A) Packers have more perimiter skill player speed on offense with Reed and Wick(?). We’ll have to be disciplined defending crossing routes, mesh routes, bubble screens, reverses.

B) Love is looking more competent and vs our secondary that has mightily struggled with coverage lapses this game could be another our offense has to step up to carry us.

C) Chargers should have easily won this game by a large margin. The Chargers lost the game, the Packers did not win it with their defense.

D) Missed opportunities: Keenan Allen dropped two wide open TD passes from Herbert near the goal line both hitting him in the chest. Rookie Q. Johnston dropped a beautiful deep pass from Herbert down the right side line that woupd have been a walk off 70 yard passing TD has Johnson caught the perfect bread pasket toss. Chargers also handed off the ball to a RB around the 5 yaed line who fumbled away the ball before going in for the score.

E) The Chargers coach is likely going to get fires before the end of the season for a leadership change but idk if its fair to pin this one on coaching. Can’t drop (3) TD passes feom Herbert and lose a fumble and expect Herbert to somehow still win the game.

The Packers are still a game we should beat. This matchup won’t be as much of a curveball schematically for our defense as defending against Fields.

Prediction: Lions 35 - Packers 20

Herbert had his best PFF grade of the season and lost. Dude should demand a trade. They do him no favors. He’s too good to be stuck there.

I’d take Loves numbers with a grain of salt, we saw how bad Chargers D is…and Chargers didn’t have Bosa.

That being said, you’ve seen how bad ours can be. 😂
