Everybody always says, oh the injuries happen every year, but based off of this years injuries it feels like 1 IR spot is not enough anymore with the rate they’re happening. Should 2 IR Slots be the new norm???

I’d say its probably more of league question to answer. I think the standard is 0 right now (i could be wrong). My league operated 2 IRs since COVID and the league agreed to keep it 2 going forward.

Best to see how your league feels and make sure its implemented in the follow up season if everyone agrees.

In my league there’s three but only for IR players, not out players. Kind of sucks

Yahoo leagues made their default as 2 during pandemic onset and never changed. I don’t mind it.

Depends on bench size. If you have a 7+ slot bench, there’s no need for IR. At 5-6, one slot. I think otherwise you’re not forcing hard choices.

we currently have 2 IR slots in our 14 team league (increased it from 1 during covid)

We’re moving it back to 1 next year as it’s really just become a stash for owners rather the original intent of dealing with the last minute scratches that were happening with players testing positive

Our objective is to have a robust waiver pool to keep owners incentivized to manage their teams through the whole season
