Brian Robinson was a third round pick with prototypical NFL size. He should never have been strongly faded by analysts given is pedigree/situation, yet he was, and went into the season as a 7-8th round pick in redraft. In addition to this preseason fade, some of the poor analysts ( e Derek Brown at FantasyPros) continued to fade this player deep into an RB1 season.
Just don’t take any single analyst too seriously, a lot of them are really bad at this.
Traded BRob and JK on draft day for DJ Moore. Moore was his WR4, BRob my RB4. Honestly has been a good deal for both of us.
It wasn’t crazy fade BRob prior to the year. Last year he was an inefficient rusher, rarely targeted in the pass game, and expected to be on a bad offense. That doesn’t usually add up to a player with high upside.
He’s been more involved in the passing game than expected, and his offense has actually been pretty good. He’s still had some inefficient games on the ground, but he’s been better at it this year than last.
You’re looking at this with the benefit of hindsight.
It’s awesome that The Terminator is the RB4 this year, but his ADP of 7th-8th round was very rational. 2 months after being healthy last year, he was a plodder putting up 9.0 PPG.
Even now, his PPG is only 14.7 in PPR which is good for RB12 (because most other guys have had a Bye, he hasn’t).
it’s crazy cuz he only has 2 games over 20 points in half ppr
He’s one of the only RBs who hasn’t had a bye yet. Dumb title
His schedule looks terrible ROS though…
of course he is. i traded him away.
