49ers fan coming in peace here. Im legitimately curious what the background is of Rams fans? Like how many were fans when they were originally in LA? How many stayed fans when they left STL? I just find the Rams history fascinating since they’re an OG NFL franchise, but because of the moves sometimes feel closer to an expansion team (at least to me).

Again, Im coming here in total respect and curiosity

I became a fan when they moved back to LA in 2016. I’m born and raised in Orange County and spent my life living between Orange County and IE.

My family are 49ers fans but I didn’t want to root for a NFL team unless they’re specifically in LA. I considered being a Chargers fan cause of close geographical proximity but it didn’t help that I didn’t know any Chargers fans at all.

Born and raised in STL watching them. I stayed a fan of the team when they moved to LA because I liked the players. I never liked the ownership of the Rams. Aaron Donald specifically is a big reason why I am still a Rams fan, he is the only NFL player that was drafted by the STL Rams that still wears the uniform.

I’m losing my patience with LA fans though. We never had this many away games in STL.

Los Angeles native here. Grew up bleeding blue and yellow before leaving for St. Louis. Endured not attending games in LA for 21 years but January 12, 2016 changed everything. Attending a game every season at the Coliseum since 2016. Endured the disastrous homecoming 4-12 season with Jeff Fisher and hiring the youngest head coach in NFL history with Sean McVay January 12, 2017. Bleeding blue and yellow is an LA thing.

As a kid I loved football but I never felt comfortable rooting for a team since LA never had one while I was growing up. I love the Dodgers and Lakers and the beautiful city of LA and always said I’m rocking with a team that comes out here.

I got family who are Rams, Niners, Cowboys, Raiders, Vikings and Seahawks fans lmao. To me it was just weird. So once they came back it was on and it was a brutal first few seasons.

Are you a Niner fan from LA? If so what made you go for them? LA gets so much hate from NorCal teams and vice versa. For example the Giants/Dodgers Rivalry.

    Norcal fan born and raised.

My love for the Rams grew from my hatred for the Niners.

My entirely family is SF fans. And I’ve always had the worst interactions with SF fans in the valley so I doubled down with my own fandom lol

Kid in 80’s from OC, Grandpa had season tickets in Anaheim. We weren’t allowed to root for when Georgia Frontiere moved them to STL. As soon as they came back immediately went back to rooting for.
