Few things I noticed yesterday at Levi’s:
-
It was good to see some bucs representation in NorCal. There were more bucs fans than I was expecting.
-
The momentum shift was huge on the baker fumble. The long drive really seemed to suck the life out of the stadium, and then as soon as that fumble happened the energy came back 10 fold. That may have been the game right there in my opinion. Would have been completely different if we scored on that drive.
-
It seemed like there was a lot more creativity from Canales. Barely saw any runs up the middle on first. Lots of movement at the line/ hand offs outside the tackles/quick passes to the flat. Was more impressed with him than I had been in previous weeks. Hopefully this trend sticks even though we didn’t get the win.

There were a few DPI’s/holds on Evan’s that didn’t get called. Not sure if it was easily seen on the broadcast.

I was screaming on that long drive in the 4th that we needed to score on those final 2 downs. Once we got to 3rd and 4th in the red zone, baker threw it into triple coverage to Mike, and then threw it again to the end zone on 4th. With only two plays needed to get 4 yards on a crucial drive of the game, I’d think that we’d try to at least get a quick throw across the chains on one of the downs. Also, would have made sense to roll baker out on one of the plays with the option to tuck it and run. After such a long drive, and the chance to turn it into a one score game, we absolutely blew it there and it seemed pretty obvious to not throw to the end zone on both plays
