I think basically any trade proposal is unrealistic…except maybe fringe player for a swap of late picks or something.

I know there have been more trades in the NFL than there were a decade ago. But it’s still pretty rare.

And we’re still a team that’s building, not a team like Buffalo that is trying to “win now”. It’s foolish for us to trade draft picks that have value IMO.

The only exception I’d make is a trade the Minkah deal. Where you get a young star in the first or second year of their rookie year so you get insane cap value. And you want this player to have been drafted in the 1st so you can use the 5th year option on them. But those deals are (1) extremely rare and (2) we only got Minkah because after Ben got hurt Miami took the bet that we’d have a top 3-5 overall pick.
