I bought a Tacoma on 11-8-2023. Today’s date is 11-20-2023. I’ve been calling Toyota about my warranty to see if it’s been activated. All the times I’ve called they say that’s it’s not in the system and that they haven’t gotten any forms. I called the dealership today and the finance guy told me that all the forms has already been sent. He said that since they sent it already and if it’s not in Toyotas system I would need to deal with Toyota but Toyota is telling me they haven’t gotten anything and that I need to deal with the dealership. Toyota told me that it usually takes them 24-48 hours for them to process it in to their system as long as the dealership has sent the forms.
So if anyone who works in that field and has some insight on the process could let me know that would be great. How long it usually takes and if the finance guy is telling the truth or not. I just can’t help but feel that the dealership is dragging their feet so I can’t get a full refund within that 30 days. I’m gonna wait another week to see if Toyota gets it in the system. If not then I guess I’ll just make that hour drive to the dealership and cancel in person since apparently they have it in their system. I can’t cancel through Toyota since it’s not in their systems.
