I know SF is probably the best team in the NFC, or at least competing with PHI for that, however, we really had many opportunities to win it if we just executed well.

Defense: The defense overall did okay but that third quarter was brutal. I am convinced our corners are made of glass. Anytime Dean gets beat big, he gets hurt. I don’t know if he faking or what but that long TD he gave up, he took a HORRIBLE angle on that attempt to bat it down. It also was the longest TD of the season in the NFL. He was being abused by Aiyuk today. We also couldn’t cover Kittle. However, I can’t be mad that the defense gave our offense opportunities in the 4th. Also, get JTS out of there and put Diaby out there full time. He is a baller!!

Offense: Once again we ran the ball to nowhere. Why do we even try tbh? It should be a crime how we continue to not target Evans or Godwin that much until we’re down and desperate. I keep giving Canales the benefit of the doubt but it’s been 10 games now and it continues to be an issue how he doesn’t target them till so late in the game. Once we target them, at a point of the game where the defense KNOWS we will pass first, they still win their matchups!! get them the ball more damn! Also a knock on Canales is the way he calls plays. Our last two redzone drives were so frustrating. First one we had THREE chances to get FOUR yards for a first and proceeded to aim for a TD on all three plays. WHY? We had timeouts and still had over 4-5 min left in the game. There was NO NEED to go for it all. Next drive, after the Thompkins punt return, we could’ve gotten a first down inside the 8. We don’t try for anything underneath to either get closer to the first or the endzone and then ultimately SF gets a pick. Otton needs to learn to play with gloves. Baker overall played barely average (too many bad decisions that led to dropped picks). Anyways my full reaction is here: https://youtu.be/Gs6uG4ROI1w

We missed an opportunity to win, go 5-5 and be first in the division. We are currently third due to the loss to Atlanta. The colts will be a tough out next week. Lets get that W and get back on track. Go Bucs!!!
