I’ve got a PC with an Asus B85M-E mainboard and a CERBERUS-GTX1070TI-8G graphics card.
I didn’t use it for a year and now it wouldn’t turn on any more, so I swapped out the mainboard. It turned on again, but no image on a screen I had connected. I spent almost an hour troubleshooting, removing all components, connecting a speaker to the buzzer pins and also trying different, but not all, video outputs.
In total it has 1 x VGA and 1 x DVI on the mainboard and 2 x DP, 2 x HDMI and 1 x DVI on the graphics card. It turns out, video output is only available on that one DVI port on the graphics card!
I’m sure there’s a BIOS option to change that, but I can’t access the BIOS if I can’t see anything. Am I simply expected to have every possible cable and to try every possible video port?
