Curious what problems snuck up on you and what it took/cost to be repaired.
Mice love Porsches. Like $2,100 worth of love after eating a TPMS wire harness
2022 Macan S. A small sensor that was part of the AC system failed right when I got the car. Porsche insisted they had to source the part from Germany. Took them 5 months, 3 of those just happened to be during the summer. Sucked.
Heater spontaneously shit the bed in my 991.1 4s, middle of winter driving to Switzerland. I WAS NOT AMUSED.
Recently sold a beautiful forest green 986 boxster. In just under a year ended up having to change both radiators and condensers, driver’s side door lock mechanism, rear window, alternator, clutch, flywheel
986 S, both radiators and both air con condensers leaked (thankfully in pairs, not all at the same time!) and I looked like a steam engine going down the road. Radiators fixed under dealer warranty, and I managed to replace the condensers myself which was relatively simple after I had a specialist fully drain the air con system (don’t do that yourself as there’s lots of interesting chemicals it’s not really legal in the UK for members of the public to dispose of).
Most expensive job was shortly before I sold it - brake pipes and lines, front springs and a water pump - came to £2.5k
Not a repair cost, but a service bulletin/recall. They had to replace the locking dust cover for the headlight adjustment screw. 2010 Panamera.
Thanks. It’s the shot-blasted and polished 18” Carrera II wheels, specific to the 40 Jahre model.
I have not. These are all great ideas I will keep in mind when she comes out of hibernation next spring. Thanks!
