I recently got a steam deck and am looking to return this classic from my childhood. The game is on abandonware for Windows, am I able to just download it or are there any extra steps?

    Download, add as a non steam game, run with proton.

    It will probably be an ISO file. As long as you know how to mount an ISO and install a game from it, you should be good. Just have to add the installer’s exe as a Non-Steam Game. Once the game is installed, go to the game’s properties and change the target path to the game’s exe. Dunno if the PC port has controller support or not.

    Other option (that might be easier) is to just emulate the GameCube or PS2 version.
