This post is about the matchup between Kobe and Lebron in 2008 - 2010

These 2 players were known to be the best in their league with Lebron being someone that would be the best (or as many would say, is the best) vs Kobe who was known for being the best, which made everyone that followed basketball to anticipate the finals matchup between the 2 for two years straight. But just like Chovy, who lost in the semi-finals then quarter finals, Lebron lost in the semifinals (NBA calls it conference championship) then quarter-finals (NBA calls it conference semifinals). Lebron was also the 1st seed in both years just like Chovy. Then we have Faker who did not 2-peat like Kobe did but still played in back to back finals and winning 1. Also, there are rumours that Chovy might go to LPL to form a super team which also is what Lebron did after his playoff failures from 2008-2010 (which stemmed deeper than those years).

I find it very interesting the parallels ranging from different sports and time and just wanted to share my thoughts regarding this. And I truly believe that Chovy NEEDS to form a super team and learn how to be a winner just like Lebron did with Miami.

Disclaimer: I am not comparing Chovy to Lebron YET (probably never), and comparatively Faker is greater than Kobe but is Kobe in this scenario.

    Lmfao so many NBA casuals. Faker is like bill Russell, Jordan and lebron at the same time lol, he has nearly 1/3rd of the world championships, 2x more achievements than any player in history. He’s the greatest winner (Russell), most unstoppable peak (wilt/Jordan), best longevity (lebron).

    Chovy is a glorified Jerry West (no worlds, maybe later, prime is great but can’t carry enough). Yes he has the level to win worlds but hasn’t won it yet. Also choking god so he kinda has that Ewing/Nowitzki/Barkley in him.

    Also Kobe overrated anyway, BeryL has a surprisingly similar career in the grand scheme lol.

      Yeah I do not disagree at all which is why I put the disclaimer at the end. I was just comparing the situations from 2008-2010 to now and not necessarily the career before or after those 2 years.
