Defending their lack of effort either for money or worse - for free - will not change the fact that there is nothing exciting about the game at the moment and a lot of people are gonna move on to play other games.
Instead of continuing the hype from TI with an exciting patch or other content, we get one of the most boring patches ever. Now you can continue writing your paid-for comments to defend all of that decision making, but most players don’t decide on Reddit whether they are gonna play the game or not.
Not a single product ever failed because people stopped criticising it. It is actually the other way around; once you bend over to the company manufacturing the product they are gonna take that opportunity to squeeze out as much profit out of it as possible - which is why this year the good stuff comes after TI and the company will take 100% of your money.
