Looks like Wiki has Kkoma as Head coach and Tom demoted from “Interim head coach” to “Coach”.

This year was anything but Tom’s genius. Even gumayusi appreciated Tom’s drafting genius

This is such a weird situation. Granted Tom wasn’t with T1 that long, but he’s the first to lead T1 out of a 7 year drought to World Champions on his first season as coach. T1 gapped everybody not called GenG In World’s.

Not to mention Summer Slums when Faker took his first ever career injury and led to 1-7 and Bengi quitting (from the pressure maybe) and Tom took over a shitshow

Understandably, they can’t have Kkoma as a sub servant to Tom since Kkomas history of accomplishment is way larger.

But without Kkoma, Tom would 100% be Head Coach for what he did for T1. T1 management probably decided that length of experience is better than recent accomplishments.

Kkoma led T1 to their 3 championships but that’s nearly 8 years ago. When he left T1, they were at its lowest finishing at 7-8th places domestically. Somehow he’s conveniently back when they are at their all time high now. Will he have joined if T1 finished 3rd or 4th in World’s?

Nobody knows but I guess T1 management wanted him back so he’s back. And it isn’t too bad to take over at the peak after leaving them at their lowest!
