Myles Jack sounds like the name you’d give to a bad ass linebacker in a movie. Born to play the role

He’s up there with Cooper Rush on the list of football movie character names

Slightly unrelated but Usain Bolt is still the greatest sports name of all time.

        Also partial to Andrew Luck

Fun little fact, he was a running back from pee-wee to high school, and he was a great runningback, but an even better linebacker/saftey

      Patrick Willis

      NaVorro Bowman

Both sound like straight up Hollywood names as well

Neat, we need ILB depth so I don’t have a problem with this

He couldn’t crack our starting LB lineup. Don’t know how excited you should be. OUR LBs.

He’s one of the best that we got, so no chance. But we used to have good linebackers (back when that was all we had, we did have DeMeco Ryans AND Jordan Hicks at the same time).

Well 2 things. We have a ton of injuries at LB and DB. And he signed to the practice squad not the active rooster.

Considering both starting ILB are out for the year and Minkah is still out anything can help solidify the middle of the field.

Honestly though I thought he’s still technically under contract with the Eagles?

Wonder why he didn’t want to play in East Pennsylvania? Didn’t want to learn the game plan, or didn’t want to deal with the pressure of playing on a playoff team.

The Steelers need him more than the Eagles do. Both ILBs for the Steelers suffered season-ending injuries in consecutive games.

Nice Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reference, by the way.

Not that I really care about losing Jack but I find it weird players can un-retire the same year they retire. Couldn’t this cause some contractual loopholes under certain circumstances?

The Eagles could have kept his rights and taken him back on the team, from my understanding. Jack likely reached out to them, said he wanted to join the Steelers, and the Eagles did him a solid to waive him from the retired list. I don’t think the Eagles do that if he said he wanted to join the 49ers or Cowboys.
