Not even in the pre-Super Bowl era did the Steelers axe a coach midseason

However bad you thought Canada was, he was worse

Outside of when in 1941 part owner Bart Bell fired himself.

He’ll buy himself a little more time after throwing 4 TDs against the Colts in a few weeks

His name is “pick it,” how did anyone ever let him play QB

KP has sucked but maybe we can give him a week or two off and try him again with the new OC. He’ll never be “the guy” but he can still grow.

Despite this we have also sucked beans at severing ties with our legendary coordinators.

Bruce Arians “retired” and Dick LeBeau “resigned”

And now we can finally stop hearing about how the Steelers will never fire someone mid season.

Just takes historical levels of ineptitude. Simple.

Its bad when at every sporting event your city has you hear “FIRE CANADA”

Like in a hockey game, and they are yelling “FIRE CANANDA!”

I’m seeing that bears are specifically for not fieing head coaches in their 100 year history, have they fired coordinators before during midseason at least?

I heard the Bills need to give their Offense that Stimulus package…Matt Canada can do just that…

It would fit in our recent trend of hiring guys named Matt to be our HC

I don’t know many fans that would brag about it. There are certainly many fans who have called for many coordinators to be axed mid-season. I think Canada was just the worst of the bunch.

Biggest blow to Canada since the Americans sacked Toronto during the War of 1812.

Sounds like something from Dennis Miller’s MNF commentary.

I’m confused? Am I supposed to see the sacking of Toronto as good thing or a bad thing? (Am Canadian by the way)

My guess is that since KP came in midway through last year, they were seeing how it would play out with him having a full offseason as starter in the offense. Look good in the preseason too.

Myles Garrett didn’t make Matt Canada not use Jaylen Warren on their final two meaningful possessions.

And it should have happened sooner. Stability is good; doubling down on what isn’t working in the name of stability is not.
