I said this to Jordy last week when he was stressing about the Packers playing them:

If we can defend the shallow routes and keep Ekeler running inside between the tackles, we shouldnt have any problem besting this offense. I really hope we utilize PQ as the primary Blitzer, we’ll need Ro and Broadway out in coverage. As long as we keep Keenan Allen in check, our defense should be fine.

As for our offense, we need to pound the rock religiously. Chargers run defense is putrid, especially against speed; I hope Monken sees this in the film study this week and dials up a healthy dose of Keaton Mitchell. I am, of course, nervously anxious about the state of our passing offense with Mandrews out, but I also think this might serve as a good test for finding out just how much we can rely on guys like Bateman and Flowers. I hope to see Monken throwing new ideas at the wall to take advantage of their individual skill sets.

Overall I’m optimistic about our chances here.
