Connor Embree is our wide receivers coach who is woefully under qualified. It’s actually criminal that he is leading our receivers group. Nepotism is what got him the job but he needs to be shown the door ASAP! We can blame the receivers all we want but this guy is flying under the radar with zero heat in him. I honestly don’t see one thing on his resumé that qualifies him for this role on even a high school team.
Eh, I don’t really blame a WR coach for dropped passes, unless he just isn’t giving them reps at catching, which I doubt is happening. Dropped passes is just a skill issue, you can’t coach someone to catch a ball better when it hits them right in their hands.
I’d blame him for things like route running, creating separation, or blocking down field.
