Title.
Recently, my friend had a blackout in his home while his PC was off but power connected and on. (Straight to outlet, no UPS or surge protectors) When he opened it, his PC just doesnt fucking work. Everything Freezes and crash. He tried moving his mouse but it just froze up and crashed.
Then windows popped up a blue screen with Advanced Options page with the 6 menu things. He did something like an “Advanced Reset”. When it was done, all SEEMED like normal however some apps couldnt function like normal. Telegram wasn’t accepting calls. Roblox wasn’t opening up. His internet speed was HALF of what it was previously and downloading is HORRIBLY SLOW.
I read a few posts on similar issues on reddit and some have said that it could be a hardware issues stating that internal wirings could have been fried during the blackout.
My questions is, what should he do? Send it to the store or an easy home repair? What exactly is the damaged component/ issue? Is there a way to even know what got damaged? He only recently bought the PC last month and absolutely doesnt want it to be gone so soon
