For me, currently, it is Cleopatra and Frankenstein by Coco Mellors. There is a lot of hate about this book. I don’t know why, the book for me is awesome. First few pages and I’m already hooked. Some chapters got me guessing on the relevance of it in the story but it all made sense at the end. Though it’s a debut novel by Mellors and some writing needs to be improved. Looking forward for her future books.
Almond, Into the Magic Shop, and Demian. I’ve reread Almond and Demian a couple of times, but it’s just different the first time.
The Last Juror, by John Grisham.

the silence of six… i was so into that book i took it EVERYWHERE and read it. i finished it while hiding out in my family’s car while they were inside at a birthday party for a family friend & cried for a solid hour 😭
The Last Juror, by John Grisham.
This won’t be a popular take, but honestly Storm of Swords was the most emotionally overwhelming book I’ve ever read. I read it back before it was ever an HBO series and had no idea what I was getting into. I usually run out of steam on really long books, but that’s one that I absolutely ripped through as fast as I could. IMO it’s easily the best of the series.
Depends what you’re looking for. The best page turner I ever read in my life was The Shadow of the Wind by Zafon. It’s just a fun mysterious adventure, that’s it really. The book that had a profound effect on my personal perspective ? The Old Man and the Sea. The book that amazed me the most, my favorite book of all, all that jazz? Count of Monte Cristo (I can choose both tomes as a single book right?)
Almond, Into the Magic Shop, and Demian. I’ve reread Almond and Demian a couple of times, but it’s just different the first time.
