With all the QB injuries this year, it has made some WR a bit uncertain. Guys like Chase, Adams, Wilson, JJ (if he returns), Higgins, Pittman, etc. Couple that with underperforming or injured players (Diggs, Kupp, Higgins again, Waddle, Smith and DK to a degree) and it seems like there is a lot of inconsistency at the position.

My question is what’s more important, the name (individual talent) or the situation. As an example, would you sell a guy like Chase, Kupp, Adams and “downgrade” (name value ) to an Aiyuk, Dell, Moore etc.

Edit: Which receivers (outside the obvious guys like AJB, Tyreek, AMSB) have strong situations that are worth targeting if you have some of those other names.

Thanks!

It really depends on the type of player. Do they create for themselves? Get separation? Make contested catches? Or do they need to be thrown open, rely on screens etc.?

If you watch guys like AJ Brown, Mike Evans, Stefon Diggs etc. they are making crazy plays on the ball. AJ Brown does not even need to be open. And he breaks a ton of tackles. Some guys though really depend on their role within the scheme. Dudes like Zay Flowers, Christian Kirk, Jayden Reed, Diontae Johnson are not really making a whole lot of contested catches, not this year at least. The timing route guys like that are the ones that hurt the most when the QB changes. Then when they get in a rhythm with the backup, they are back to speed.
