So I’m not trying to get too far ahead, because a lot of this depends on who the HC is and if Telesco still has a job. However, we have some pretty big questions coming this offseason.

I’ll break mine down by the 3 main positions I see as an issue:

EDGE:

Mack has been playing great, even this late in his career, and he was out best edge player last year too.

Tuli is awesome as a rook, and he’s going to be solid for years to come so it’s awesome we landed him.

Joey, while I love him, I feel is time on this team is done. He can’t stay healthy sadly.

If we only target on of our vets to retain in FA, I think it has to be Mack.

RECEIVER:

Keenan is the GOAT and needs to retire a Charger. He’s still our best offensive weapon and he’s showing that age is just a number when you’re as skilled as he is.

Mike Dub just can’t stay healthy. Love the guy but we can’t rely on him to be in the field and to give him a new contract unless it’s extremely team friendly is the definition of insanity.

Palmer when healthy is solid as a #2, he’s shown a lot I feel, especially when filling in for the two guys ahead of him on the depth chart. Hopefully he comes back strong later this season.

Quentin… no comment at this time. He’s on the team regardless with the rookie deal.

Davis definitely has a role as returning and a jet sweep, screen option and May grow into a bigger role.

I feel like we can only target one of our vets to retain and it’s a no brainer it’s Keenan.

RUNNING BACK:

Ekeler hasn’t been at the same level this season, and while that’s sad to see it’s not surprising. I still feel like he’s got juice and if we had a real legit thumper his usage could be catered to more of a pass catching and redzone role.

Kelly, Spiller, and everyone else on the team… I have no comment. I don’t have confidence there.

TLDR; We can’t resign all our big name FA next offseason. I think we should target Mack and Keenan, let Joey and Mike Dub walk, and only bring back Ekeler if the money makes sense.
