Jalen has stunk for the majority of the season, but the bright side to all of this is that we will have a pretty clear idea of what extensions will look like now.
Before, a lot of people were wondering how we would keep all of our young players, who was getting paid more than who, and xyz. I think it is clear sengun is getting, and is worth, the max rookie extension. our offense runs through him and he is now net+ defender. But due to Jalen’s poor performance (if this remains constant throughout the year), I don’t see him getting more than a 4-5 year, 80-100 mil contract.
This is also great for us because jalen still will have a lot upside, so we retain a guy on our roster for around 20 mil who has incredible upside, while keeping him for a lower price based on what he’s shown us previously.
Idk if i’m just saying nonsense or if this is actually logical so i would love some feedback, but i was just thinking about this earlier.
True dream is pay him $20 million a year then he becomes a superstar and worthy of a max later on. It will give us space and flexibility lol

Too small and not good enough a shooter. He needs to get stronger and improve his shot.
Jalen needs to give more points to his character’s Wisdom stats. I don’t how this happens in real life as this is not a D&D game, but being away from Kpj-like players for over 1 year could make him wiser. So if Ime sees some improvement until next year, I guess that he will stay. But if Ime says I don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel, package this boy for a good deal at some point, guess the GM will pull the trigger.
plain dumb. honestly. any team can place a higher bid and we’d have to match.
