We can all agree that matt canada was a huge problem for the steelers offense. We can all agree that over the next day, weeks, months, and years, steelers fans, steelers players, steelers staff, talking heads big and small will be dunking on canada’s time with the team. We still have major problems with the offense that need fixed.

  1. Mason Cole has regressed from Mostly Solid last year to an ABYSMAL FAILURE and the unquestionable worst player on the offense. His complete and abject failure has caused cascading failures to Isaac seumalo, James Daniels, Dan Moore, chuks, and especially Najee Harris and Kenny Pickett. More often than not James Daniels could help cover for Cole’s failures but it leaves chuks exposed which is one of the reason chuks looks so bad. Seumalo was supposed to be amazing, but he is not as adept at covering for Cole. He is not as quick at covering for Cole, so when he covers for Cole, it exposes Dan Moore like in the overload blitz i talk about below, and man… is it ugly. Seumalo isn’t bad, he’s just slow to adjust. If you have a better center, both Seumalo and Daniels look better because they can then help the tackles more. Mason Cole’s snaps have been all over the place too. High, low, left, right, just inconsistent.

  2. Dan Moore Jr. is a turnstile. However it is not completely his fault. See above. In the cle-pit game. take the overload blitz. Chris carter on twitter posted a clip and multiple stills of it broken down. Dan Moore gets beat left and right. starting from Moore’s responsibilities to the left he gets swam over, and on his right he has an attacker he looks directly at because Mason Cole passed off very badly to Seumalo that Seumalo missed because Seumalo turned to help Moore.
    So Moore gets swam on the left, and stares directly in the face of the guy on the right, who
    was one of the guys sacked Kenny. A) if Cole passes better to seumalo the a gap and the inside attacker up the middle doesn’t get there. B) if Moore holds the point of attack on the left edge and doesn’t get swam, the left attacker doesn’t get there. that gives Pickett time to hit diontae who had more than enough space to catch the ball.

  3. Najee Harris. The kid is a good runner. Canada was killing him by designating most of his runs inside and up the middle by Cole, who could not get separation and open lanes. I like the kid. seems like a nice guy. steelers should NEVER have drafted a running back in the first round. ever. no team should. ever. this is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT ON ART ROONEY II. It will annoy me FOREVER. Pouncey retired, and he had sucked his last 2 seasons and art 2 goes…dee dee dee lets draft a running back! We had no center and he wanted a running back. this dude has no football acumen and i will die on this hill. CENTER WILL ALWAYS HAVE MORE POSITIONAL VALUE OVER RUNNING BACK IN A HEAD TO HEAD VS A RUNNING BACK.

  4. Lack of BASICS. There is no communication on offense. There is no rhythm. There is no connection. There is no trust. There is no discipline. Johnson and Pickett don’t like each other. Pickens is an entitled, spoiled little brat and a proven liar. Muth is never used. Robinson is never used. Austin is never used.
