anyone looking for a reasonable discussion of the Jackson hit should check out the PFF Week 11 Review show.

    Here’s the link

Discussion starts around 2:22:55 if the time stamp doesn’t work.

I agree that KJax isn’t dirty and just has a target on his back right now. But who cares what these dinosaurs say. Legion of Whiny and Cheater Mc Cheater face.

Tom pretty much nails it, and this is a PERFECT example of what he said. “The defense has to protect the offense now, the offense can play how they want, but the defense has to make sure they protect them”

This is the perfect take for this exact play. You run a toss to your QB and he gets cracked. The offense can just play with reckless abandon and everyone expects the defense to make the right move, but hey, make sure you stop them, no not like that. hey sack that QB, no not like that. No one is arguing that player safety is important, what’s being argued is that the NFL is making it near impossible to play defense.

There’s little use debating this. It’s against the rules and he knows it’s against the rules, but he hasn’t changed his behavior.

I don’t agree with every rule at my workplace, but I know that if I break them I will face consequences no matter how righteous I act or how many former co-workers came out in my favor.

Jackson actually has a better chance of changing the rules of his workplace than most workers do because he’s part of a union. If he and a majority of the NFL players wanted to change the rules back, they could propose that and negotiate it with the owners and the league. They could even strike if they felt strongly enough about it. But that won’t happen because many players are happy with rules that keep them safer. And it wouldn’t be great PR to strike for the ability to lead with your head unpunished.

The best thing for Jackson to do is change the way he plays. If he doesn’t he’ll cost the Broncos more wins and himself more money.

Corners aren’t allowed to cover, linebackers can’t touch qbs, strong safety’s can’t hit.

Just break out the flags already.

Just don’t hit people in the damn head man. It’s literally the number one rule now.

    “He plays old school”

Yeah those aren’t the rules of the game anymore. It’s 2023 and him being out hurts the game. If he isn’t intelligent enough to play the new game, then quit or move on.

I have no skin in the game here and I can see that he’s being unfairly targeted by the NFL. Suspending a dude for talking a ball carrier is ridiculous.

Yeah a lot of ex players are saying it. I posted Sherm and Brady because they have no reason to defend a Broncos player, like how Rod Smith is openly talking about it as well. I’m willing to bet there are plenty of current players who feel the same way but won’t say anything publicly in case the league targets them too.

I played football in high school. I played safety. I idolized Atwater and I’d fucking light people up when I got the chance. It was a different game then.

I feel for KJax. It’s hard to change your stripes, and he’s been this dude for ages. It’s not fair how he’s being labeled.

Not even 5 years ago we celebrated this. Folks acting like he’s dirty must be fucking two.
