It seems like every startup nowadays has a landing page that looks like Linear - dark mode, frosted glass components using blurs, outer space background, lots of gradients, etc.

I actually like this aesthetic, but when every single startup landing page looks the same, it quickly becomes boring. What do you all think? What are your favorite landing pages that don’t follow this aesthetic?

Most startups don’t have a designer so they just copy the style of popular landing pages. This is why it’s worth investing a few extra bucks

What works is more important than how cool something is, which is unfortunate but it is what it is

The primary objective of landing pages is to clearly communicate what the product is and the value it can bring to users.

While users may be attracted to some cool designs, that doesn’t necessarily mean they truly understand the value of your product.

Therefore, if these websites clearly convey their message, having some similarities isn’t a major issue.

People tend to copy the market leaders. When Google was the trendy startup, people copied it, same for Facebook, and in the last decade Stripe and Uber were trendy so people copied them
