An easy fix: detect non english writings / speech, insta mute. Simple.
Chinese players didn’t even care .
It would be useful if you could select a main language of English but they’d never let you do that.
My guess is because you are never prompt, so everyone leaves it by default. My suggestion is to set Russian by default so we can all select English xD
I was initially hoping that they would test out their AI module to perhaps help and alleviate this issue - If it picks up on people typing / Talking an excessive amount in a language now associated with the server, it could result in a penalty. No dice, sadly.
It might sound a bit draconian, but I think most of us can agree that DotA is at it’s best when 5 people, regardless of nationality, use the same language to try and win a game together.
They make containment servers for a reason and I’m tired of not calling them containment servers
