Hey all,

I’ve been itching for a good racing game; was hoping to get your insights and suggestions.

I’m looking for a hybrid between arcade and sim, I guess. I prefer the more simulation side, as I enjoy a challenge and learning the intricacies of a game, but I don’t have any intention of using a wheel or peripherals for the Deck. Also, I want to have fun too haha

Growing up, I was most familiar with the Forza Motorsport games. But games like Dirt Rally 2.0 have caught my eye. Is 2.0 more frustrating than fun? And as someone who is ignorant in rally racing, I’m not sure I’d appreciate the car selection.

This also goes for F1 racing games. I know nothing about it and feel like I wouldn’t get excited seeing specific models/cars (and track variety).

Wreckfest is a game I’ve been seeing a good amount of recommendations for. My worry here is too much of a focus on a demolition derby over actual racing.

Hell, even the Hot Wheels games look fun haha

I’ve heard Forza Horizon 5 runs on the Deck, but also that a recent update borked it(?). This is the game I’m leaning most towards - especially because I’ve heard the new Forza Motorsport game is unstable and I doubt the Deck could handle it (and no sale discount). Does anyone know if the multiplayer for FH5 is active?

One thing that’s annoying is all these games are 100+ gigabytes, but that’s modern gaming.

Anyways, I don’t want to drone on.

What racing games do you play? Any favourites?

Thanks all! Happy sale

I do like “Dirt Rally 2.0”, had a lot of fun with it but it is sometimes a bit annoying.

I have “Rush Rally 3” in my sights which I think may be a better game especially for the Deck. Seemed great from the demo I played of it and I’ll likely buy it soon. So I guess go try out that demo.
