I used to be a big gamer and have beaten a lot of games. But the hobby has died a bit over the years, when work and life in general has gotten in the way. I have always enjoyed single player games the most throughout my gaming years.

I am 35years btw, so I have been playing my fair share of games.

My main platform is PC, and I have a fairly beefy PC specs. So any modern game should run on nice settings. Also have a PS4 but prefer the PC.

Type of games I have enjoyed earlier:
The GTA series
Souls series
Elden Ring
Resident Evil series
Splinter Cell series
The older Hitman games
loved playing oldschool platforming games(think snes and the likes)
Castlevania symphony of the night
Deus Ex series
Red dead redemption series
Spec Ops the Line.

Have played a lot more, but that was just what came to me at the top of my head.
would like a game that is story rich and that I could beat over the weekend.

appreciate any suggestion, and please make suggestions of games you like as well.

I can’t remember how long Titanfall 2 is, but it has one of the best single player fps campaigns ever.

Subnautica would be my choice, it’s upwards of 30 hours though.

XIII - new version isn’t as bad as the blowback would make it.

EDIT-just looked. NOT on sale on steam.

I never played the original but I played the 2003 version on Steam and now am playing the latest remake.

I definitely liked the old cel style more, and though I don’t recall the voice acting from the first one I played, the second one seems weak. But overall it is fun and feels like a throwback game that runs well.

Could probably get through A Plague Tale: Innocence in a weekend. The episodic structure of the Walking Dead games mean they’re also good for pick-up-and-play. And if you’ve already played those and enjoyed them, As Dusk Falls is a similarly excellent narrative story.
