Quite honestly I can’t stand only a few books that I’ve read, recently The Awakening by Nora Roberts.

Holy crap, do I reallllyyyyy want my money back. I was bored. So. Bored. The magic system was subpar, the characters just….ew, everything was so, so boring. The MC is an idiot.

What book is a zero star read for you?

Gravity’s Rainbow. Finally at 500 pages in I threw it out in a garbage walking down the street. It was liberating.

“Elantris” by Brandon Sanderson. Really, really badly written - I DNF’d after less than 150 pages.

There’s a bunch of boilerplate thrillers I’ve started and quickly put down, but I can’t remember any of their names. I think one was by a guy named Brad Meltzer, and had a laughably bad first chapter.

Lightlark by Alex Aster, Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, and It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover.

Verity by Colleen Hoover - laughably bad

and Jpod by Douglas Copeland - pretentious drivel. It was a struggle to finish and when I was done I threw it across my living room lol

Me & Earl & the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews. The writing was atrocious and I couldn’t stand any of the characters

Delta County. The way I’m seeing Colleen Hoover’s work described, sounds like this is a direct rip off of that style of writing.
