So I bought the lenovo legion about 2 weeks ago and while I initially liked it there’s a fee complaints I have. To start with the battery life is extremely short and I’m talking about worse battery life then the Ally. I wanted a handheld not a laptop that has to be plugged into the wall. some games for some reason won’t go into big picture mode. And of course I can’t map the buttons at all. I may be bias but should I but a steam deck? I used to have one but sold it due to wanting to play more online games that the deck prevented and modern warfare. I’d love to hear from people as well who had the Legion go.

The Legion go is good in some areas and bad in other areas not to mention one of my controllers are wobbly. At least with the deck updates were easy and while not all games were playable the battery life was good.

If your on this subreddit then most people will say yes. I haven’t owned a legion but here’s my opinion anyways (lol) The steam deck is the king of Handhelds. No two ways around it. The support it gets allows you to fix most problems with it quickly or eventually. Valve updates every 3 seconds it feels. There are plugins that allow you to customize EVERYTHING! I mean everything… hate your cover art? Plugin to put a video cover there. Want to make a save every time you open the game so you can rewind? Plugin for saves. Want to get achievements while running emulations? Plugins for that. It is perfect for emulating, playing steam back log, heck even pirating if you do that (no judgement). TouchPad are there so you don’t have to detach the sides everytime you want precision (though I like the legion go’s way of doing that). Also steam OS makes it very noob friendly. Feels like a console. I agree though, if you want to play online games like fps you’re out of look but besides that, it’s king
