Maccagnan had 5 first round picks from 2015 to 2019. I’m going to talk about the first round picks here.
2015, the Jets select Leonard Williams. Definite hit. He was a probowler with the Jets. 2015’s 1st round projections were overall bad so I count him as a good hit.

2017, Jamal Adams definitely a hit. Of course, the Texans had Watson and Chiefs had Mahommes. Doesn’t mean Adams was a bad pick. He was in the trajectory for HOF level career while playing with us. All pro, pro bowl safety.
2018, Sam Darnold a miss, but I think we could have salvaged him in 2021. Trade down or #2 for Sewell + 1st round WR and AVT could have turned him into someone else. He got us good draft capital so could count him at least mediocre level.
2019 Q. Another All pro, pro bowl player. One of thr best DT in the league and would be sticking with us for quite a while.

Here’s JD’s draft up till now. 7 1st rounds.
2019 Mekhi. I think he is a miss. He played 24 fucking games in 4 fucking years. Of the 24 games, I remember him getting carted out early in game. Was good for half of his games and OK or bad for rest.
2020 Zach Wilson, a miss. No doubt. Doesn’t matter if he success elsewhere. He’s a fking miss.
2020 AVT, a mediocre. He’s been out for 2 seasons now. It’s not his fault him being out but with all the injury history, his draft pick was mediocre.
2021 Sauce a hit.
2021 GW another hit.
2021 JJ He is good. But should he be considered as hit? Need to see. He is above mediocre for sure.
2022 WMD. I don’t like the idea of developing an old project EDGE, especially when we are full of DLs. To be fair, it is unable to evaluate his success at this moment so I’ll leave it blank.
