Engine light, for o2 valve

Code came through for bank 1 sensor 1 for o2 sensor, Went out and bought the sensor and sensor socket. Attempted to change it, couldn’t get it to loosen so I sorta gave up, turned my car back on and then the engine light turned off. What could have happened. Because I legit didn’t do anything lol
