Even if I’m good at a game I can’t play ranked, the stress from worrying about a win or lose makes me play bad.

W mentality. A lot of players don’t play comp because they are afraid that they will hold their team back, aside from the casual gamers and other exceptions. I was the same way until i played for a few games. It’s the exact same, with slightly more thinking involved. People flame in vc and match chat in qp, people throw fits in qp, people will play moira and bap and only dps the entire game, and all of this will happen in ranked as well. But i’m not saying that everyone should play comp, just that is isn’t scary and if that’s the only reason stopping you from queuing, then just queue comp anyways.

I think it’s a healthy mindset. You should stay positive about your skill and look to improve whether you’re stuck, ranking up, or ranking down.

You cant carry your team if the enemy team is decent enough. You can do this in R6, CS, CoD or Destiny but not in this game. Roles are too important here

I was hardstuck at diamond for so damn long since overwatch 2s release. Just recently I’ve made it to masters 3. But Jesus Christ it took a damn long ass time. And with some of the teammates I play with, shit I should be gm because of how bad they are😂😭

You lost me with “carrying the lobby consistently”

No one can carry games consistently unless they’re several ranks below what they should be, like if a GM was playing in plat. But even if you’re diamond and you’re playing in plat, theoretically you will be winning more often, but carrying the game is still a rare occurence. It’s a team game and you’re playing with 4 other people. It’s not always about outshining your team, but figuring out the best way to work with them.

Considering I can win 10 games in a row and go down in rank, makes comp pointless and not fun to me. Qp is so much more fun, because is doesn’t matter Comp is a joke, and so is the match making. Has been since day 1. After this many years of being bad, I don’t expect any improvements, so never even bother with comp.

I’ve been playing for 6 years and have played 3 games of quick play. But then again I don’t care what my rank is….except when plats are trying to school me in the comment sections.
