Story time:

2017 when I first got into watches and bought my first Seiko. Really wanted this watch but couldn’t find it anywhere. Read it was discontinued for a long time.

While on a trip to Dubai in 2018 at Gold Souk I showed a picture of this watch to the shop owner. He went away and brought back two Gen 2 versions (Jubilee bracelet, non CZ markers, Day at 6 o’clock, red seconds hand) in SS/Blue dial and two-tone/white. I bought those but still really wanted this version.

Fast forward to 2023 where a user on Reddit found this watch at an estate sale for 35 USD in NOS condition! (for those who don’t know, an estate sale is the sale of a person’s belongings who either passed, or is moving away, etc.)

Found out he was selling it on eBay, messaged him to do a personal transaction and here it is.

NOS, bracelet complete and unresized, box and everything.

Nice watch, but never understood how these go for close to a grand. Bracelet alignment is horrendous and you can definitely get some better QC at that price. Under $500, great watch.
