Hi, so I’m sort of new I’ve been playing irelia for a while and have reached mastery 5 (which is not a lot, but just puts into perspective my current experience), and she’s the only champion I enjoy playing from what I’ve tried. What I want to ask is for recommendations on champions to unlock and then pick when Irelia is banned or taken. Right now I have no alternative picks (that I like).

I don’t like best-in-lane picks like Ahri (Idk if im mistaken on whether shes best in lane) and I am quite interested in champions that are not known for being picked in lane, but still work. Right now I have my eye on Bel’Veth mid, but people seemed to say she only works against some matchups (assassins). That post was 1 year ago and if thats changed I would like to know as well.

Anyway, I like odd picks, but picks that can work well if you’re good enough. I don’t mind if the champion is difficult or simple. I want to note, the biggest reason I enjoy learning and playing irelia is that she is difficult but I can see visible progress in my skills. I would prefer champions that play mid, but I wouldn’t mind knowing about champions that play top or bot. I leave out support because I already have 3 picks I like for support.
