Old pcs actually are way worse due to heavy dependency of Vulkan for Intel igpus (Hasvk driver) and old Nvidia gpus.
Like a Fermi gpu that can do both DX12 ( only FL 11_0 though) and can do DX11 is basically useless on Linux.Those are locked into 390 branch.
Similar situation goes for Kepler gpus as well. They are locked into 470 branch which doesn’t have VLK 1.3 support which is required by both dxvk and vkd3d-proton. Using older versions of dxvk and vkd3d-proton is possible but obviously if a game needs a fix that is only in newer versions of them, it is essentially busted.
