I’m still salty these don’t seem to exist anymore. I’ve always loved minimalist sneakers with speak design. Most sneakers these days seem garish and the style at the moment seems to be huge soles with massive heals. Anyone have recommendations?
I’m looking for:
- black and white
- mesh
- thin(ish) sole with no oversized heal that kicks backward
The Xero Nexus Knits seem to be similar. But have no hands on experience with them.
Many thanks.
Got it! Adidas iniki. Aka tge I-5923.

Low boost sole, supersoft light upper. As a Free lover, these hit the spot for me. Gazillion colours.
With you on this. I had the og Free 5.0. Wore them long after they broke. Saw the 2017 reissue on stockx but iffy on the crumble for $135. I’m leaning towards prestos - like the really functional cage.
I got a pair of Juniper Trail sneakers for a three week trip to Europe. Some of the most comfy sneakers I’ve had. Didn’t have to break them in and was walking an avg of like 12 miles a day. They might be too much sole for your taste but I’d say give them a shot.
