My shortlist of coaches who could replace the legend of Belichick in New England ushering in a new Era for our Patriots…with my top 5 ranked from #5 to #1

  • 5- Bobby Slowik (OC/Houston Texans)

  • 4- Josh McDaniels (ex-Raiders coach and former Patriots OC; he knows our system and the way we do things so it would be a pretty easy transition)

  • 3- Jerod Mayo (our current linebackers coach; stays in house but just gets promoted up to HC; knows our system just like McDaniels and is around Belichick every day)

  • 2- Ben Johnson (OC/Detroit Lions)

  • 1- Jim Harbaugh (head coach at Michigan; pluck Jim out of college and bring him back into the NFL to coach our team)

Honorable mentions of replacements for Belichick

  • Dan Quinn (current DC in Dallas; former head coach in Atlanta)

  • Kellan Moore (former OC in Dallas; current OC in LA for the Chargers; Kellan as a head coach especially in New England replacing Belichick but if anyone could do it, Moore can)

  • Shane Waldron who is currently in Seattle; he could also be a potential replacement for Belichick

  • Frank Smith who is currently in Miami; he too could be a potential replacement

Last guy who I feel as an honorable mention who really deserves a head coaching job and New England would be the perfect place for him: Eric Bienemy (current OC in Washington; formerly of Kansas City)
