Hey folks, I wonder if anyone ever had this issue before.

When I open (just open, not even attempt to install/run it) one specific game (Ratchet & Clank:Rift Apart) page in my library on my Steam Deck, the system glitches, resulting in the following issues:
- Unable to run any game. Pressing Play plays the chime sound, but nothing actually happens.
- Opening any other game page in my library becomes unreliable. Sometimes it opens, sometimes it just hangs with empty screen, with Steam logo and progress indicator circling around it, and the logo is not centered, instead it is positioned in top-left corner of the screen.
- “Steam” and “Quick Access” physical buttons stop working, nothing happens when pressing them
- Short press on power button doesn’t suspend the Deck
- Attempt to shutdown/restart/suspend/switch to desktop mode via Power menu results in Deck hanging infinitely. The only way to shutdown the Deck that works is holding the Power physical button for some time.

The issue happens both in Game & Desktop modes, tho in Desktop mode it is only Steam client that is affected, system stays responsive, but the Steam client just hangs and can’t be closed even with “kill” command in root terminal console.

My Steam Deck is updated to the latest available OS version (3.5.5) on stable update channel, and I’ve reflashed it using the recovery image literally a few days ago, the only things that I did is installing Cryoutilities & ProtonUp-QT (to install Proton-GE).

Any thoughts/suggesstions?

Well, after trying everything I could think of to at least narrow down the possible cause, I’ve decided to reinstall SteamOS without wiping the data, and it fixed the issue. So, I dunno what it was, but now it’s gone.
