I recently launched a startup focused on providing data integration, automation, business intelligence, and optimization services to businesses. I’m struggling to gain any real traction or leads though.
I’ve been cold-emailing and reaching out to potential clients.
The services I’m offering provide significant value by empowering organizations to get more out of their data.
My rates are 30% below typical market prices for this type of work too.
However, I’ve had no luck yet in getting responses or landing clients.
I know my services can benefit companies in making better data-driven decisions. But I’m still learning how to effectively market and sell to the right prospects.
Do the people here have any advice on how I can improve my outreach and positioning?
What am I missing?
Are there better ways I should be targeting potential customers for data services like mine?
Any and all guidance would be hugely appreciated!
Sincerely,
Ibrahim Ahmed
Is that first paragraph what you are reaching out to people with? Without knowing more, my initial gut reaction is if I saw an email like that I’d delete it without reading. It’s very vague and looks a lot like something everyone else sends.
While not scalable, when starting out I think it’s really important to get as personal as possible until you’re known and your brand can speak for itself. We had a pretty vague and generic message our first week of outreach as well. We switched it up the next week and were really specific and researched on how we could help on specific projects they were doing. This increased responses greatly.
