There was a lot of ways this team needed to grow but the most impressive for me has been JAs passing out of the short roll.
This was open all of the time during the Knicks series where JA and Mobley would catch the ball near the free throw line off the roll and struggle to make a proper decision.
It felt like both players minds were still loading. They didn’t know too shoot, pass, or drive quick enough.
You can see this catch and pass was a clear part of JAs offseason work. Last night he consistently made the right judgement on when to drive off of it and when to dish it.
This will continue to unlock the offense especially if we are playing two bigs.
