Wanting to buy a used car in 2018 or 2019. Are there years that I should avoid? I own a MB now and the reliability is pretty terrible, trying to not fix the car that much.

There’s a handful of issues I’m working on with mine. Bought it with 70k miles and it’s been quite some work tbh. I do believe most of these issues were due to neglect in the past though. Rotors were warped insanely bad and the car shakes extremely when braking which is why I believe the radiator went on it. Started leaking. Replaced all brake pads rotors and the radiator…

But aside from that, there are a couple quality issues I’m also working on. My steering column doesn’t lower half the time and I’m stuck driving with the wheel way up in the air… I can seem to find a way to turn off the “easy entry” function. Which is stupid… because it’s common for the motor in the steering column to fail from what I read.

And then my DRL tube is burnt up because it’s also super common for the LED module to burn. Having a burnt out angel eye is annoying simply because of how iconic they are for a bmw…

Not trying to sway you, just sharing my experience. G30 is beautiful. I still recommend even after my issues with it

    2017 540 btw
