I’ve never rooted for anything like I’m rooting for Kenny now. Yeah, he’s played poorly but he’s good dude, I hope he proves everyone wrong. We saw he’s capable of playing better last season, maybe he can at least get back to that level before the season’s over.

I don’t think Kenny has it. That being said, he would have to show some considerable improvement this season to showcase that he’s still worth keeping around. We don’t want to be in a Bears or Giants situation and having to keep a QB longer than necessary that doesn’t show the makings of a franchise guy.

Statistically speaking I would like to see him at least average 1.5 TDs a week, 225-250 YPG, and 65+% Completion. All three of those would put him somewhere between the 12-18 range for QBs during that span.

He should also be passing the “eye test”. Meaning responding to pressure better, hitting throws in stride and on time instead of behind/too high/too low, progressing through more than 1 read instead of just doing his quick scan then checkdown, and also stringing together multiple good drives. Even better would be at least 1 true stand out performance by him along the lines of 300/3 or something.

If he can’t statistically improve from bottom 3 into average this season I don’t see why he should be kept around. If he does then it should be average --> good next season.
